We had a great day Sunday. Thanks to everyone who came out and planned the First Annual Camp Springs Autumn Tour. The weather was amazing and plowing the fields worked out great. See you next year!!

Herbst Tour

The Baumann House
A tour of stone houses, working farms, vineyards, a winery and artist studios is coming to Camp Springs, KY, Sunday, October 21, Noon to 5 p.m. Herbst, German meaning autumn, reflects the German heritage of this historic rural community. It is a self guided auto tour within a five mile radius along the Stonehouse Trail which itself includes some 20 stone structures, five of which will be open for the tour. Maps showing locations of these and other venues will be available the day of the tour at the Camp Springs Firehouse, 6844 Four Mile Road, Camp Springs, KY. There is no charge for the tour.

The image is for Keith’s house just two doors down, which is one of the stops along the way. Kevin (weather permitting) will be plowing the fields with his team of horses. Something you won’t want to miss!!

Not very. That’s the problem. The dry weather continues and you can see the 15′ wide creek that spans our acreage is dry, dry. Not much releif in site and record 90′s on tap.

Quinn is a little young for the big tractors but does just fine on the small one. A visit to the farm on a Sunday afternoon. More than veggies grow up on the farm.

Seriously, we’ve picked more than 16,000 pounds so far this season. Our tomatoes have made their way onto many sandwiches, salads, salsas, and dips. If you haven’t had any yet, come check them out. At the farm or any of the many markets we’ve been setting up at!!
